The Festival of Choice aims to raise awareness of threats to reproductive rights and the plight of women in countries around the world who do not have access to safe and legal abortion. The Festival also wishes to celebrate the solidarity and activism of women and to strengthen and support the prochoice message, locally and globally.
All participating organisations fully support a woman’s right to decide over her own body.
We hope to encourage women and men to raise their voice to protect the right of women to decide in countries where this is respected, and to fight for the right to decide in countries where this is not the case.
Each organisation represents their own mission and values, and each individual respresents their own opinion in regards to abortion rights.
The Festival of Choice encourages people to join the discussion on abortion and works on an inclusionary basis.
The Festival will end with the signing of a joint manifesto by the participating organisations.
